One of my readers recently emailed me to ask whether or not I thought the 2010 Entertainment Book was really worth buying. That’s not the easiest question to answer because in all honesty, it just depends on your personal preferences and activities.
I bought the book this year and found a good deal of savings at restaurants and attractions that I do plan on visiting this year. There are lots of 2 for 1 deals and other pretty high value coupons for places I frequent already. Plus, having these coupons will also serve as motivation for more date nights with my hubby. So, for me, I am certain that I will get more than my money’s worth on it.
On the contrary, I passed on the book last year because I had a brand new baby at home and couldn’t get any free time if my life depended on it! If you’re not planning on going out too much in the next year, it won’t be as much of a value for you.
What I would recommend is to first take a look at the site by clicking on the icon above and enter your zip code for a sneak peak at the coupons available in your area. Right now, these books are at a 40% discount, so the usual price of $35 has been reduced to $21. There’s a pretty good mix of coupons in there, including movie theaters, travel and shopping, so you might find the book will pay for itself with just a single outing or two.

I agree that it depends on how much you're able to go out, etc….for me, it is a good deal. I love Mexican food & the last couple years have seen lots of coupons from my fave restaurants. However, I always buy the book when it's on sale, AND I buy it thru' one of the $-back websites, like Ebates or Cashbaq for an even better deal.
